About the event
The Beach Lifeguard training is aimed at teaching you the knowledge and skills that are necessary to supervise the beach and to act adequately in case of calamities. This is also a good course for surf instructors and ILS recognized. This training is slightly more extensive than the Surf Coach Safety & Rescue training. Physical fitness is essential when taking this course. An important part of the exam is therefore a swimming test in which you have to swim 400 meters within 8 minutes. The entire Beach Lifeguard course is practical in design; the theory is directly converted into practical assignments as much as possible. This way you learn to apply the new knowledge immediately. Topics covered during the training are: risk assessment, currents and tides, use of aids, meteorology, rescue procedures, cooperation with other emergency services, preventive action, signals, first aid, etc. The Beach Lifeguard renewal course lasts 2 days, including the exam. The price for the Beach Lifeguard renewal course, including registration, exam and certificate is 250.00 euros (p.p.). The certificate is valid for 2 years. PLEASE NOTE: This Beach Lifeguard renewal course at Hart Beach is in the evenings from 6:30 PM – 10:00 PM. Because this course includes a full first aid training, you can sometimes get a full or partial refund of the course costs from your health insurer. This depends on where and how you are insured. If you have any questions about this course, please send an email with your name and telephone number to email@example.com. You can register through the button RSVP.
