About the event
The SLSGB Surf Coach Safety & Rescue course is intended for those who work as a surf coach at a surf school anywhere in the world and is recognized by the ILS. To become a surf instructor you need, in addition to your ISA level 1 surf coach diploma, a water safety/lifeguard or Surf Coach Safety & Rescue certificate. This 3-day course prepares you for any incidents during a surf lesson. You will learn how to remove injured persons from the water without any aid or with a surfboard as aid. In a practical way, the theory is taught about the beach, sea, risks, etc., first aid and resuscitation. The certificate is valid for 2 years. Before the course you have to take a swimming test: 200 meters within 5 minutes. You must be at least 16 years old to participate in this course.
